The West Bengal Board of Primary Education (WBBPE) on Monday released the Teacher’s Eligibility Test (TET) notification.

ELIGIBILITY :
Higher Secondary/ Senior Secondary (or class 10+2) with at least 50 per cent marks and two year diploma in D.El.Ed.
Higher Secondary/ Senior Secondary (or class 10+2) with at least 50 per cent marks and 4 year diploma in B.El.Ed. Higher Secondary/ Senior Secondary (or class 10+2) with at least 50 per cent marks and having Diploma in Education (Special Education), recognised by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI). The candidates have to complete a two-year teachers’ training programme.

SELECTION PROCESS: General students will have to secure 60 per cent marks in the TET examination while SC/ST students will have to secure 55 per cent to be eligible for teaching.
